What belongs to Maranda Mathis
Every drawing, every photograph of a drawing, the words on this site, and the logo belong to Maranda Mathis and are protected by copyright from the moment they are made. Nothing here is free to use because it is on the internet.
Owning a piece is not owning the copyright
When you buy or receive an original, you own that object. The copyright stays with Maranda Mathis. Without written permission you may not reproduce it, make prints of it, sell copies of it, put it on anything for sale, or use it to promote a business.
What you may do with a piece you own
- Keep it, hang it, frame it, and give it away.
- Photograph it for your own records and for insurance.
- Share a photograph of it on your own social media, crediting Maranda Mathis.
- Sell the original on. The copyright does not travel with it.
What nobody may do
Maranda Mathis expressly reserves the right to prevent any text or data mining of this site, and any use of its contents to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a machine-learning or artificial-intelligence system. This reservation is made for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and any equivalent provision elsewhere. Automated collection of the images or text on this site is not permitted.
The photographs you send us
They stay yours. You give Maranda Mathis permission to use them to draw the piece you asked for and to talk to you about it, and nothing else. A reference photograph is shown publicly only if you say it may be.
Asking for permission
Licences for reproduction, publication, or commercial use are often possible and are agreed in writing. Write to Show the address and say what you have in mind.
If you think something here infringes your rights
Write to Show the address with the following, and it will be dealt with promptly.
- What the work is, and where it can be seen.
- The address on this site where the material appears.
- How to contact you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, the copyright owner, or the law.
- A statement that the information you have given is accurate, and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for them.
- Your signature, electronic or otherwise.
Material will be taken down or disabled where the complaint is well founded. If yours was taken down and you believe it was a mistake, write and say why, and it will be looked at again.
If you find the work being misused
Please tell us at Show the address. A small studio only finds out when someone says something. Last updated August 29, 2026.
