Refunds & Cancellations
When money comes back, when it does not, and how to ask. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you.

Work made for you
A commissioned piece is made to your specification and cannot be offered to anyone else, so the usual right to change your mind about a purchase does not apply once drawing has begun. What happens at each stage is set out in Commission Terms.
A finished piece bought as it is
If you buy a piece that was already drawn rather than commissioned, you have 14 days from the day it reaches you to tell us you would like to return it. Send it back unused and as it arrived, at your own cost and suitably packed, and the price is refunded within 10 working days of it arriving safely.
If it arrives damaged, or does not arrive
Tell us within 7 days of delivery, or of the day it should have arrived, and send photographs of the piece and the packaging. Depending on what happened it will be repaired, drawn again, or refunded in full. Keep the packaging until it is settled — a carrier will usually ask for it.
If it is not what was agreed
If a piece is faulty or materially different from what we described, you are entitled to have it put right or your money back. Write to Show the address and say what is wrong.
Donations
A donation is a gift and is not refundable. If you gave by mistake, or the amount was wrong, tell us within 7 days and it will be put right. See Supporting the Work.
Books and anything bought elsewhere
Where a book or any other item is sold by a retailer rather than by us, that retailer takes the payment, sends the goods, and handles returns and refunds under their own policy. We cannot refund a purchase we did not take.
How a refund is made
Always back to the way you paid, within 10 working days of it being agreed. Where the law allows it, payment charges we cannot recover may be deducted; we will tell you the figure rather than let you find it. Last updated August 29, 2026.
